SUMMER TIME IN THE VALLEY
There is plenty to do in the White Mountains anytime of the year, but especially during Summer. Jackson, New Hampshire, a quiet resort town in the heart of the White Mountains, is the perfect spot for a Summer weekend getaway. The town is home to an admirable variety of places to stay — from quiet, romantic inns to busy, packed hotels — all of which feature classic New England charm, of course.
For the outdoorsy type, hiking is the activity of choice in the summer. Maybe take a lazy float in tubes down the Saco River. How about the outdoor concerts at Cranmore Mt. and other venues. Take a dip in Echo Lake. Enjoy Jackson Falls with a good book and a little dip. Cruise the Kancamagus Highway with all it beauty and places to explore. Visit one of our many breweries and distilleries, old and new. There is always the family fun of Story Land and their new venture of Living Shores Aquarium. Hanging out at the firepits at local establishments meeting new people. What about the fun of bird watching all over the valley. Can you spot the bald eagle or was it a turkey vulture? You should never go home without reaching the top of Mount Washington just up 16 North for the Auto Road or Rt 302W for the Cog Railway.
There is tons to do here in the valley for the young and not so young. With the village of Jackson as your host you will be well taken care of.
Come to the Mountains and breath the fresh air!
